Atmospheric Objects

This collection spans over a decade of work, capturing a range of forms from functional vessels to sculptural pieces. Each object in this series is fired in either wood or soda kilns, creating a natural, dynamic interaction between raw clay and glaze. This atmospheric firing process introduces an element of unpredictability, allowing the kiln itself to play a role in shaping the final surface—a process I’m drawn to for its parallel to natural events and its ability to create surfaces that feel organic rather than contrived. Looking back, these pieces seem like a foreshadowing of my current work, embodying themes and methods that continue to shape my practice today.
